About the event

Head out on this 3.8-mile loop trail near Southlake, Texas. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 10 min to complete.

This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and horseback riding, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

This trail is intended for multi-use and is shared by equestrian users and hikers alike. The path is mostly sandy, which can be quite challenging terrain to navigate through. There is sparse shade along the way, and it is suggested to bring some form of sun protection. The views of the lake are well worth the effort.

Make sure your pack has everything you need, especially water. Feel free to bring cameras if you want to document your experience.
